Ep 19. The One With All The Haste

Monica and Rachel are packing their bags to go to the Beach. The girls have managed to borrow a friend's car. Chandler and Joey help them load their bags into the car. While loading the car, Rachel realizes that she has left her plane ticket at the apartment. Monica goes to get it for her.

Meanwhile, Ross is in a hurry to finalize his divorce with Emily. He needs to get the documents signed before his ex-wife changes her mind. Phoebe decides to tag along with Ross to England for emotional support.

Back at the apartment, Monica cannot locate Rachel's ticket. She checks the drawers, table, and everywhere but cannot find it. She tears apart the entire apartment in search of it. Rachel is getting increasingly anxious as her flight is about to leave soon.

Chandler gets involved and helps Monica search for the ticket. Meanwhile, Joey is looking for his underwear, which is missing. Chandler and Joey start digging through their laundry to find Joey's underwear. However, Joey realizes that his underwear is lost and laments its loss.

Monica and Chandler resort to searching through the trash in desperation. However, they hit a snag when they can’t remember whether or not they had thrown the ticket away. They start digging through the trash until Rachel reminds them she had given them the ticket to hold onto. They realize that it must still be in Monica’s purse.

In the meantime, Phoebe manages to convince Ross not to get divorced. She tells him that he needs to fight for his love. Ross decides to call Emily and tell her that he wants to work things out. However, the call does not go as planned, and Ross finds himself in a tough situation.

After much delay, Monica finally finds Rachel's ticket in her purse. They rush to the airport only to realize that they missed their flight. Monica is extremely disappointed as this means she won't be able to brag to her friends about her private beach club membership. She decides to return home.

On the other hand, Ross comes back to the apartment, upset over his failed phone call. Monica realizes that Ross did not get his divorce papers signed, which means they still have time before it's final. Ross decides not to go back to England for a while and is excited about the possibilities of reconciling with Emily.

In the end, the gang returns to the apartment. Chandler realizes that Joey’s underwear is inside one of his pants' pockets. They laugh about the lost underwear and wasted efforts on finding it. Joey then eats some of Chandler's cake and distracts his friend from the issue. The rest of the episode is filled with banter and playful conversations between the gang.
