Ep 2. Joust Friends

Galavant season 1 episode 2, titled "Joust Friends," follows the titular character as he prepares to take on his old rival, Sir Jean Hamm, in a jousting competition. Galavant is determined to win and prove to Princess Isabella that he is still a worthy knight.

Meanwhile, Isabella continues her journey to find brave knights to help her reclaim her kingdom of Valencia. She meets a group of traveling performers who are willing to help her in exchange for a chance to perform in the royal court.

Back in the kingdom, King Richard and his loyal sidekick Gareth are working on a plan to win over the peasants by holding a feast in their honor. However, their attempts at appealing to the common people prove to be disastrous when they accidentally serve them rotten food.

As Galavant prepares for the joust, he meets a talented blacksmith named Sid who offers to make him a new suit of armor. However, Sid's real intentions are to sabotage Galavant's chances of winning by secretly adding weight to his armor.

Despite Sid's plot, Galavant manages to win the joust and earn Princess Isabella's admiration once again. However, their reunion is short-lived when Isabella reveals that she must continue on her mission to gather an army and retake her kingdom.

The episode ends with Galavant and his squire, Sid, having a heart-to-heart conversation about their respective goals and motivations. Galavant realizes that he doesn't need to win the joust to prove himself, and Sid decides to join Galavant on his journey in search of adventure.
