Ep 3. Aw, Hell, The King

After successfully gaining the support of the villagers of Hortensia to join his rebellion against King Richard, Galavant and his crew set sail towards Valencia where they will seek the help of the only person who can help them defeat the king, Isabella's cousin, Glenn. However, they soon discover that their journey won't be as easy as they thought, as they encounter a group of pirates who are after their gold and a sea monster who attacks their ship.

Meanwhile, in Valencia, King Richard deals with a political crisis that threatens to undermine his authority. His chief advisor, Wormwood, convinces him to hold a public execution of a group of rebels who had been caught plotting against him. Among the rebels is the leader of the rebellion in Hortensia, Madalena's ex-boyfriend, Gareth. Though resistant at first, King Richard ultimately agrees to the execution in order to assert his dominance and sends Wormwood to oversee it.

Back on the ship, Galavant and his crew manage to escape the pirates and the sea monster, but their journey is far from over. They arrive at a deserted island where they are met with a surprise guest – the evil sorcerer, Chester Wormwood himself. Wormwood reveals to Galavant that he has been sent by King Richard to retrieve Isabella, who is needed for a royal wedding in Valencia. Her absence threatens to derail the political alliance that the king has been working so hard to secure. Galavant and Wormwood strike a deal – if Wormwood can help Galavant and his crew sneak into the king's palace and retrieve an ancient magical jewel, then Galavant will allow him to take Isabella.

As Wormwood makes his way to Valencia, Galavant and the crew make a pit stop at a nearby tavern where they meet a mysterious woman who claims to have a way to help them break into the palace. She reveals herself to be a former employee of the palace who was wrongfully accused of stealing and thrown in the dungeon. She knows the layout of the palace and is willing to help them in exchange for her freedom.

At the same time, King Richard carries out the execution of the rebels, but is shaken to see the strong reaction of the people, who start to turn against him. Meanwhile, Wormwood arrives in Valencia and begins to scheme his way through the palace, getting closer and closer to retrieving the magical jewel.

As Galavant and his crew prepare to break into the palace, Isabella is confronted by Wormwood, who tells her that she must come with him to Valencia. Isabella is horrified to learn that her beloved cousin, Glenn, has been imprisoned by Wormwood and is being used as leverage. Isabella agrees to go with Wormwood, but not without a plan in mind to free Glenn and take down Wormwood once and for all.

With tensions rising and alliances shifting, the stage is set for a dramatic showdown between King Richard and Galavant's rebellion. Will Galavant and his crew succeed in their mission to retrieve the magical jewel and take down the king? Will Wormwood succeed in taking Isabella captive and securing the royal wedding? And what role will Isabella's cousin Glenn play in this brewing conflict? Only time will tell in this thrilling episode of Galavant.
