Ep 4. The Only Way to Die

The show Get Smart was a comedy spy series that aired from 1965 to 1970. It follows the adventures of bumbling secret agent Maxwell Smart, aka Agent 86 (played by Don Adams), and his efficient partner, Agent 99 (played by Barbara Feldon), as they try to stop the evil organization known as KAOS.

In season 2 episode 4, titled The Only Way to Die, Agent 86 is tasked with protecting a scientist who has developed a deadly new gas. The gas, known as KAOS Gas X, is capable of killing thousands of people and KAOS agents are determined to get their hands on it.

Agent 86 and Agent 99 go undercover as a married couple and move into the scientist's home to protect him and his daughter. However, their cover is quickly blown and the KAOS agents launch a series of attacks on the house.

As the situation becomes more dire, Agent 86 and Agent 99 must come up with a plan to get the scientist and his daughter out of harm's way. But with KAOS agents closing in on all sides, it seems like the only way to escape is to sacrifice themselves.

The episode is filled with the signature humor and slapstick that the show is known for, as well as plenty of action and suspense. Don Adams delivers his classic one-liners and Barbara Feldon handles herself with aplomb, making for an entertaining and enjoyable episode. Fans of the series will no doubt appreciate the addition of new gadgets and clever spy tricks to keep the story fresh and engaging.
