Ep 19. Emily In Wonderland

Emily In Wonderland is the 19th episode of the first season of the hit television show Gilmore Girls. The episode follows the lives of Lorelai Gilmore, her daughter Rory, and their family and friends living in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut.

Later that day, Lorelai and Rory attend a town meeting where they learn that the owner of the Dragonfly Inn, a competitor to the Independence Inn, has died. Lorelai sees this as an opportunity to expand her business and convinces Sookie, her chef, to help her create a proposal for the new owner.

Meanwhile, Emily continues to plan events for Lorelai and Rory, including a garden party where Rory is to sing. At the party, Francine and her husband once again cause a scene, but Rory's beautiful singing soothes the tension.

The episode ends with Lorelai and Sookie presenting their proposal to the new owner of the Dragonfly Inn, but their excitement is cut short when they learn that an old flame of Lorelai's, Max, has been hired as a teacher at Rory's school.
