Ep 1. Adventurous Family Seeks New RV to Call Home Sweet Home on the Road (Pilot)

  • October 1, 2014

In the pilot episode of Going RV, we meet the Buccheit family - Ashley, her husband Jason and their three kids - as they embark on a search for the perfect RV to call their home sweet home on the road. This adventurous family loves to travel and explore the great outdoors, and they are looking for an RV that will accommodate their active lifestyle.

The Buccheits meet with expert RV salesman Steve Zipkin, who takes them through a variety of options, from a small travel trailer to a larger Class A motorhome. Ashley and Jason both love the idea of a motorhome, but they are worried about the cost. Steve assures them that they can find a model that fits their budget, and that is also comfortable and spacious enough for their whole family.

The first RV they look at is a Forest River Sunseeker Class C motorhome. Ashley is immediately impressed with the modern amenities, like the flat-screen TV and stainless-steel appliances in the kitchen. Jason loves the power of the engine and the ease of driving such a large vehicle. The kids are thrilled with the bunk beds in the back.

Next up is a Coachmen Mirada Class A motorhome. This one is even bigger and more luxurious, with a spacious master bedroom, a fireplace in the living area, and a full-sized refrigerator in the kitchen. The Buccheits are impressed, but they worry that it might be too big and expensive for their needs.

Finally, they check out a Keystone Hideout travel trailer. This model is smaller and more lightweight than the motorhomes, but still has all the amenities the family wants, including a full kitchen, a comfortable sleeping area, and a bathroom with a shower. Ashley and Jason love the idea of being able to disconnect the trailer and explore the surrounding area in their truck.

Throughout the episode, we see the Buccheits weighing the pros and cons of each model, discussing their needs and preferences, and ultimately making the tough decision of which RV to choose. Along the way, they share their excitement for the adventures to come, imagining all the places they will go and the memories they will make as a family.

Going RV is a fun and informative show that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the RV buying process.
