Going RV Season 1 Episode 7 Massachusetts Motorhome
- July 22, 2015
In Going RV season 1 episode 7, titled Massachusetts Motorhome, we follow three couples on their journey to find their dream motorhome. The first couple, the Simpsons, are ready to leave their house behind and live on the road full-time. They're looking for a Class A motorhome with plenty of space for their two dogs and all their belongings. The second couple, the Harpers, are searching for a Class C motorhome that's easy to drive and park, as they plan to spend most of their time exploring national parks and campgrounds. Finally, the third couple, the O'Haras, want a Class A motorhome with a lot of luxury features, as they plan to travel in style and entertain friends and family on the road.
The episode starts with the Simpsons viewing a beautiful 2013 Tiffin Phaeton, with a spacious living area and plenty of storage. However, it's out of their budget at $250,000, so they continue their search. They then view a Newmar Dutch Star at $220,000, which boasts a king-size bed and a large shower. They love it, but ultimately decide on a 2013 Entegra Aspire, which offers luxury features like a fireplace and an electric awning, within their budget at $200,000.
Next, we follow the Harpers as they visit a 2014 Thor Motor Coach, with a 25-foot length that makes it easy to maneuver and park. However, they soon realize it's not big enough to accommodate their two children, who come along on their adventures. They then view a 2014 Forest River Sunseeker, with a slide-out that creates more space, but ultimately fall in love with a 2014 Winnebago Minnie Winnie. With a lot of storage space and bunk beds for the kids, it's the perfect fit for their family.
Finally, we meet the O'Haras as they tour a luxurious 2014 Fleetwood Excursion, complete with a fireplace, heated floors, and four slide-outs. But with a price tag of $350,000, it's too expensive for their budget. They then view a Monaco Dynasty, which has a similar layout and features at $220,000, but ultimately decide on a 2008 American Allegiance, which offers a lot of luxury features, at only $110,000.
Throughout the episode, we get to see the couples weigh the pros and cons of different motorhomes, and learn about the features that are most important to them. We also get a glimpse of the challenges of finding the perfect motorhome, from making sure it fits their budget to ensuring there's enough space for everyone and their belongings. The show gives us a great insight into what it's like to leave behind the traditional home and to live on the road in a motorhome.
