Grandpa was disappointed that he didn't win, but he was happy for Mr Marvelloso because he knew how much he wanted the golden wand.

The lights in the theatre go down and the show begins. Mr Marvelloso starts with some simple tricks, like making a ball disappear and reappear. The audience cheers and claps. Then he moves on to some more elaborate tricks, like sawing a lady in half and making a car disappear. The audience is amazed, but Grandpa looks worried.

After the intermission, Mr Marvelloso comes back on stage with a new trick. He brings out a big box and asks for a volunteer from the audience. Jemima jumps up and down, waving her hand in the air, and Mr Marvelloso picks her. He asks her to get into the box and lie down. Then he closes the box and announces that he will make her disappear! The audience is in shock. They don't know what to do. Jason looks at Grandpa, and Grandpa looks back at him. They both know what they have to do. Grandpa touches his walking stick, and he shrinks down to pocket-size. He crawls out of Jason's pocket and onto the stage.

Grandpa tries to find Jemima in the wreckage of the box, but she is nowhere to be found. He knows he has to act fast. He pulls out his magic button and presses it three times. Suddenly, he is standing in Jemima's bedroom. He sees Jemima lying on her bed, covered in smoke and ashes. He picks her up gently and touches the button again. He is back on the stage.

The audience is amazed. They see Grandpa holding Jemima in his arms. They can't believe their eyes. Grandpa uses his magic on the smoke, and it disappears. Then he uses his walking stick to make Jemima reappear on stage. The audience cheers and applauds. Mr Marvelloso looks surprised and a little bit scared. He knows he has been beaten.

After the show, Mr Marvelloso comes up to Grandpa and apologizes for his mistake. He tells Grandpa that he got carried away and didn't mean to hurt anyone. Grandpa forgives him and tells him that he understands how easy it is to make a mistake when you're performing magic.

As they leave the theatre, Jason turns to Grandpa and asks him how he knew what to do. Grandpa smiles and tells Jason that he has been doing magic longer than Mr Marvelloso. He knows how to make things disappear and reappear. He tells Jason that magic isn't just about tricks and illusions. It's also about knowing how to use your magic to help others.
