Ep 5. Strike Two

In Growing Up Supermodel season 1 episode 5 titled "Strike Two," tensions rise as the pressure of the modeling industry starts to take a toll on the young models.

The episode begins with Arissa, the daughter of Cynthia Bailey, dealing with the fallout from her mother's decision to pull her out of a lingerie photo shoot. Arissa is frustrated because she feels like she's missing out on opportunities that could help propel her career forward. Meanwhile, Janis Dickinson's son Nathan is struggling with his confidence as a model. At the same time, the other models are dealing with their own challenges. Cairo, who has always been known as the "rebel" of the group, starts to clash with her fellow models and the agency when she decides to dye her hair bright pink without their permission. She doesn't see why they should have a say in her personal appearance, but they argue that it's a part of her image as a model and could affect her marketability.

On top of all this, tensions arise between the parents and the agency when one of the models is asked to walk in a fashion show that requires her to wear a revealing outfit. The parents are concerned about their daughters' safety and well-being, while the agency insists that it's a necessary part of the job.

As the episode reaches its climax, the models prepare for a runway show, but not everyone is feeling confident. Cairo struggles to walk in her heels, while Janis's son Nathan worries that his unique sense of style will make him stand out too much. Despite their fears, they all walk the runway and impress the judges with their poise and confidence.

At the end of the day, all the models are relieved to have made it through another day in the cutthroat world of modeling. While some may have stumbled along the way, they're all determined to keep pushing forward and pursuing their dreams, no matter how difficult it may be.
