Hack//Legend Of The Twilight is an anime television series that originally aired on TV Tokyo in 2003. This adaptation of the popular .hack franchise was directed by Koichi Mashimo and is based on a manga series of the same name by Tatsuya Hamazaki. The story of Hack//Legend Of The Twilight follows two siblings, Shugo and Rena, who are both huge fans of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) known as The World. The original .hack series was set in The World too, but the focus of Hack//Legend Of The Twilight is on a newer version of the game that is more accessible to casual players.

Shugo and Rena are excited to start playing the game together, but they quickly discover that their adventures in The World are going to be anything but ordinary. They encounter strange creatures known as AIs (Artificial Intelligences) that seem to be able to interact with the real world in bizarre ways. They also meet a group of players who are searching for a powerful item called the Key of the Twilight, and soon find themselves drawn into a web of danger and intrigue.

The main cast of Hack//Legend Of The Twilight is made up of Yasunori Masutani (Shugo), Junko Minagawa (Rena), Mai Nakahara (Macha), Ayako Kawasumi (Ouka), Maaya Sakamoto (Aura), Nobuyuki Hiyama (Balmung), Souichiro Hoshi (Sanjuro), Yuki Kaida (Kamui), Yuki Matsuoka (Mireille), Asa Shirakura (Mimiru), Isshin Chiba (Sora), Kunihiro Kawamoto (Crimsongarden), Masami Kikuchi (Reki), Masumi Asano (Mirage), Sakiko Tamagawa (Lady Subaru), Sara Nakayama (Tsubaki), Shinji Kawada (Silver Knight), Taisuke Yamamoto (Matsuyama), Lara Jill Miller (Mary Lou), Bryce Papenbrook (Kite), Crispin Freeman (Orca), Derek Stephen Prince (BT), and Sandy Fox (Miyuki).

The animation in Hack//Legend Of The Twilight is done by Bee Train, a studio known for their work on other .hack series as well as Noir and Madlax. The visuals are bright and colorful, with a distinctive character design that makes the cast instantly recognizable.

The music for Hack//Legend Of The Twilight was composed by Ali Project, a Japanese neoclassical duo known for their use of Gothic and Lolita fashion. The opening theme is "New World" by ROUND TABLE featuring Nino, and the ending theme is "Emerald Green" by See-Saw.

Overall, Hack//Legend Of The Twilight is a fun and exciting entry in the .hack franchise that should appeal to fans of both the original series and MMORPGs in general. With a lively cast of characters, an intriguing plot, and top-notch animation and music, this series is definitely worth checking out.
