Edgar initially just wants to flirt with Lydia but then offers to help her get to the Duke's castle using his carriage. Lydia accepts the offer and hops in the carriage with him.

Edgar and Lydia have an interesting conversation during the ride, and she learns that he is on a mission to find something called the Merrow Seed. The Merrow Seed is a magical item that's said to grant any wish. Lydia doesn't believe in it as she doesn't see anything magical. However, Edgar doesn't give up easily on convincing her.

They run into some trouble on the way to the Duke's castle, as the carriage is attacked by some robbers. Edgar and Lydia fight off the robbers and continue their journey, but the carriage gets damaged in the chaos. Fortunately, they arrive at the castle, and Edgar helps Lydia with the repairs.

Once they get to the Duke's castle, they are greeted by the Duke and his butler. The Duke is a tall and imposing man, and he tells Lydia about his problem with the fairy. The fairy has caused some chaos in the castle, and the Duke's servants are too scared to do anything. Lydia examines the fairy and finds out that it's injured. She treats the fairy with a unique medicine, and it recovers quickly.

As Lydia is leaving the Duke's castle, she sees the same fairy that she has just healed carry something that looks like the Merrow Seed. She tells Edgar about it, but he doesn't believe her. Lydia then sees an old acquaintance of hers, a man named Paul Ferman. He is also a fairy doctor but with a slightly different approach. He and Lydia have a friendly chat, and he reveals that he's also on the search for the Merrow Seed.

As the sun sets and darkness descends on the castle, Edgar and Lydia are attacked by a hooded man. Edgar fights him off and reveals that he's actually the Duke's younger brother and that he's on a mission to find the Merrow Seed. The episode ends with Lydia agreeing to help Edgar find the Merrow Seed while Paul Ferman continues his search.
