Ep 2. It Takes a Village

Hanging With the Hendersons follows the hilarious and heartwarming adventures of the Henderson family as they go about their daily lives running their family business, the Animal House Veterinary Clinic. In season 2 episode 2, entitled "It Takes a Village," viewers get to experience the amazing and compassionate work the Hendersons do as they help animals in need.

The episode begins with the family receiving a call from a woman who has been feeding a stray dog for several months but who is now in need of medical attention. The Hendersons quickly go to work and discover that the dog, who they name Mama, has a respiratory infection and is in need of a foster home.

The family decides to take Mama in as their own foster dog and quickly discover that taking care of a sick animal is no easy feat. From administering medications to making sure Mama gets plenty of rest, the Hendersons work tirelessly to nurse Mama back to health.

Meanwhile, Dr. Tony Henderson goes out on a call to help a local farmer who has several cows in need of medical attention. Tony quickly gets to work examining the cows and diagnosing several illnesses, including pneumonia and mastitis.

With so many animals in need, the Hendersons realize that it truly takes a village to care for these creatures. They turn to the community for help and are overwhelmed by the generosity and compassion of their neighbors. From volunteer foster homes to donations of food and supplies, the Hendersons find that they are not alone in their mission to help animals.

As the episode comes to a close, Mama makes a full recovery and the Hendersons are able to find her a loving forever home. The cows on the local farm also make a full recovery thanks to Tony's expertise and dedication to their well-being. The episode leaves viewers feeling inspired and grateful for the incredible work that the Hendersons do, and reminds us all that it truly does take a village to care for those in need.
