Hiccups is a Canadian television show that aired from 2010 to 2011 on CTV. Created by Brent Butt and Suzanne Faguy, the show follows the life of a children's author, Millie Upton (played by Nancy Robertson), who suffers from chronic hiccups. Along with her husband, Stan Dirko (played by Brent Butt), her manager, Joyce, and her neurotic best friend, Crystal Braywood (played by Laura Soltis), Millie tries to navigate her writing career and her personal life while dealing with her embarrassing affliction.

Throughout the show's two seasons, viewers follow Millie as she attempts to write her latest book with little success. Her efforts are constantly thwarted by her hiccups and her tendency to procrastinate. She also struggles to balance her career with her personal life, as her relationship with Stan is put to the test, and she deals with her best friend's various personal and relationship issues.

The show's cast of characters is rounded out by a number of eccentric and often ridiculous supporting characters, including Millie's overbearing mother, who constantly meddles in her daughter's business, and her quirky neighbor, who has a tendency to push boundaries.

The humor in Hiccups is largely character-driven, with each member of the ensemble cast bringing their own unique quirks and personality traits to the table. The show's writing is witty and often absurd, with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments throughout its 26-episode run. The plotlines often border on the ridiculous, but the show's talented cast and sharp writing make it an entertaining watch nonetheless.

Overall, Hiccups is a charming and often hilarious comedy that offers a fresh take on the typical workplace sitcom. Its focus on the struggles of a writer and the various quirks of her supporting cast make it a unique and entertaining watch, and its witty writing and talented cast ensure that it is never anything less than a pleasure to watch. If you're looking for a lighthearted and fun comedy to binge-watch, Hiccups is definitely worth a look.
