After some brainstorming with Jason (and some hilarious improv scenes), Melissa decides to take a different approach and write her own song. With Jason's help, Melissa composes a catchy tune that perfectly showcases her vocal talent and quirky personality.

As the episode winds down, the different threads come together in a satisfying conclusion. Brendon realizes that his mom needs more than just a documentary to sort through her feelings, and he has a heart-to-heart with her about their family history. Melissa's audition goes incredibly well, and she's thrilled to have taken a risk and given it her all.
