Ep 42. Making Art in Germany

In this episode of House Hunters International, we meet Seema, an artist from New Delhi who has decided to move to Germany to further her artistic career. Seema has always dreamed of living in Europe and being immersed in its rich art and culture. She is now excited to finally make that dream a reality.

Seema is looking for a home in Berlin, the cultural capital of Germany, where she plans to set up a studio for her art. She is also hoping to find a place that has an art scene and is close to galleries and museums. She is accompanied by her friend Anjali who is helping her in her search for the perfect apartment.

Their first stop is a one-bedroom apartment located in the trendy Prenzlauer Berg neighborhood. The apartment is on the top floor of a five-story building and has a spacious and airy living room with large windows that fill the space with natural light. The bedroom is cozy and has a small balcony that overlooks the street. While Seema loves the apartment, Anjali points out that it's relatively small, and they'd need to find storage options for Seema's art supplies.

Next, they visit a two-bedroom apartment in the hip neighborhood of Neukölln. The apartment has a modern industrial look to it with high ceilings, exposed brick, and large windows. The bedrooms are both of decent size, and there is enough space for Seema to set up her studio. However, Seema feels that the location is too far from the art scene she wants to be involved in.

The third apartment they tour is in the Friedrichshain neighborhood. The one-bedroom apartment is located on the first floor of an old building and has a spacious living room and bedroom. The large windows facing the courtyard mean there is no street noise, making it an ideal place for Seema to work. Although the apartment is slightly over Seema's budget, she feels that it's worth it, as the location is perfect, and the neighborhood has vibrant street art and an up-and-coming art scene.
