House Hunters Season 106 Episode 26 Weightlifters Look For Room To Grow In Eugene, Or
- January 26, 2017
In this episode of House Hunters, a couple of weightlifters is on the hunt for a new home in Eugene, Oregon. Erin and Kyle are excited to upgrade their current living situation as they need more space to accommodate their fitness equipment and lifestyle.
Their realtor, Ben, takes them to view three homes that fit their criteria. The first home is a modern two-bedroom house with a large garage that could easily fit all of their equipment. Although the home looks nice, Erin and Kyle are not thrilled with the idea of having a small backyard and living in such close proximity to their neighbors.
The second home is a spacious four-bedroom house with an impressive gym in the basement. Erin and Kyle were ecstatic about the gym, but the rest of the house felt dated, and there wasn't enough additional outdoor space for Kyle's other hobby, gardening.
The third property they toured is a beautiful ranch style home with an expansive yard and plenty of space to build an additional workout area. The inside of the house was spacious and modern, however, they weren't sure if the yard was too large to maintain.
As they reflect on the properties they've seen, Erin and Kyle discuss what they value most. They both love the idea of having a dedicated fitness space in the home and a decent-sized yard to grow their own vegetables. Ultimately, they make a decision based on which home checks off the most of their boxes.
In the end, Erin and Kyle decide on the four-bedroom home with the impressive gym in the basement. They were able to overlook the dated design because the practicality of having a home gym that Kyle could use every day was too good to pass up. They also plan on using the available space in the backyard to build a vegetable garden, bringing their love for fitness and healthy eating together in one place.
