Aspiring musicians and newlyweds, Michael and Abbey are on the hunt for their first home in the heart of country music, Nashville. They have a budget of $400,000 and are looking for a fixer-upper they can put their stamp on and grow into over the years. With the help of their real estate agent, the couple looks at three different homes, each with its own unique characteristics.
The first home they look at is a traditional three-bedroom, three-bathroom, ranch-style home with a large backyard. Abbey loves the traditional feel of the home, while Michael sees the potential in the backyard to build a music studio. However, there are a few issues with the home, including outdated fixtures and a flawed layout that may require some major renovations.
The second home is a historic four-bedroom, two-bathroom home located in a trendy neighborhood. The home boasts a spacious backyard and a charming wrap-around front porch. Abbey immediately falls in love with the historic details and sees potential in the space for entertaining. However, the couple soon realizes that the kitchen appliances are outdated and may require significant investments to upgrade.
The third and final home is a mid-century modern four-bedroom, three-bathroom home in a highly sought-after area. The home has a large outdoor space and breathtaking views of the surrounding hills. Michael loves the modern feel of the home and sees plenty of opportunities for a recording studio. However, the unique layout of the home may require some major changes, including potentially knocking down a wall.
As the couple weighs the pros and cons of each home, they must come to a decision about which property will best suit their needs. With their real-estate agent guiding them along the way, Michael and Abbey ultimately decide on the home that will allow them to live out their musical dreams while also allowing them to grow and make lasting memories for years to come.
