News of their favorite science teacher being let go at year-end upsets Indie, Abi and Marlon. The principal makes them a deal that if the worst student in eighth grade science (Marlon) can win the Science Fair, the teacher can stay. The friends work day and night to think of a project that can cement the win and decide on a volcano because it always wins on TV. Unfortunately Carlos Martinelli, the kid who makes bad things happen to good people, would like to use their project for evil, not good. But when the kids try to stop him, volcanic lava-glue cements them all together... with Carlos. Is there anything this flailing ball of human beings can do to turn this thing around?
