If Walls Could Talk... is a fascinating television series that delves into the hidden secrets of homes across America. In the season 12 episode 12 titled "Past Secrets Revealed," viewers are taken on a journey through the history of a stunning historic home in the heart of New Orleans.

The episode starts off by introducing viewers to the current owners of the home, a couple named Marie and Charles. They've lived in the home for over a decade, and during this time, they've noticed several peculiar things happening around the house. They hear strange noises, find objects mysteriously moved from their original locations, and even spot shadowy figures out of the corners of their eyes.

Intrigued, Marie and Charles decided to get to the bottom of things. So, they consulted with a team of paranormal investigators, who set up cameras and recording equipment around the house to try and capture any paranormal activity.

While reviewing the footage, the paranormal investigators discovered something unexpected. The strange phenomena that Marie and Charles had been experiencing weren't caused by ghosts or spirits but instead by something much more sinister - human beings. The investigators picked up conversations and laughter coming from different areas of the house at odd hours of the night, suggesting that someone was living in the house or using it for unauthorized purposes.

Appalled at the idea that someone else might be living in their home, Marie and Charles decided to investigate further. And that's when they stumbled upon the first clue that would lead them down an incredible journey through the history of their home.

As it turns out, their house was once owned by a wealthy family of sugar cane planters in the early 1800s. The family had a reputation for being kind and benevolent to their slaves, an uncommon occurrence in that time and place. However, rumors began to spread that one of the family's slaves had fathered a child with the plantation owner's daughter.

Marie and Charles learned that this child grew up in their home and eventually inherited the property. However, many of the town's residents never accepted the idea of a former slave owning such a grand home, and as a result, the child faced discrimination and hardship throughout their life.

The couple's research into the home's past led them to the archives of the local historical society, and they discovered a treasure trove of documents and photographs that revealed even more secrets about their property's past. They learned that during the Civil War, the house was used as a hospital, and many soldiers died there.

Marie and Charles also discovered that their home had been a hotbed of Civil Rights activity in the 1960s. Many prominent activists had visited the home to plan events and strategy sessions, making it a critical location in the Civil Rights movement.

The episode ends with the couple marveling at the incredible history of their home and pondering all of the different stories and secrets that it holds. They feel honored to be part of such a rich and extensive history and are thankful for the opportunity to share this story with others.
