Inuyasha manages to defeat Kagura and remove the shard from her, freeing her from Naraku's control.

With Kagura no longer a threat, the group is able to rescue Owari and bring her back to Shiori. The episode concludes with Shiori expressing her gratitude to Inuyasha and his group for helping her save her mother, while also acknowledging the complexity of her feelings towards her father.
