Inuyasha Eng Dub Season 4 Episode 2 The Female Wolf-Demon and the Promise of the Moon Rainbow

  • August 19, 2002

In the second episode of season four of Inuyasha, entitled "The Female Wolf-Demon and the Promise of the Moon Rainbow," we are introduced to a new character, Koga, the leader of the Wolf-Demon tribe. Koga is out for revenge against Naraku, who he believes was responsible for the destruction of his tribe's home and the deaths of many of his kin. In his quest for revenge, he comes across the main group of characters, who are currently on their own mission to collect the remaining Shikon Jewel shards.

Koga is initially hostile towards the group, believing them to be in league with Naraku, but after a brief skirmish, he realizes they are not his enemies. During their conversation, Koga reveals that he is searching for a particular woman, who he believes may be able to give him information on Naraku's whereabouts. This woman, it turns out, is a female Wolf-Demon named Ayame, who Koga had promised as a child to one day make his mate.

Ayame, it seems, is not all that thrilled at the prospect of being Koga's mate, however. When she first sees him again, she tries to run away, but Koga catches up to her and tries to convince her of the importance of their alliance. Ayame, who is fiercely independent and doesn't want to be tied down by a mate, is not convinced.

Despite Ayame's reluctance, Koga persists in his pursuit of her. He even goes so far as to challenge Inuyasha, who he sees as a rival for Ayame's affections, to a battle. Inuyasha, who is himself in love with the human girl Kagome, agrees to the challenge, and the two engage in a fierce fight.

The fight between Inuyasha and Koga is interrupted, however, when they are both suddenly attacked by a group of demons. Ayame, who has been watching from the sidelines, steps in to help, and it quickly becomes clear that she is much stronger and more skilled than either Inuyasha or Koga had suspected.

As they fight off the demons together, Ayame and Koga begin to bond over their shared experiences as Wolf-Demons. Ayame reveals that she, too, has lost many of her family members to Naraku, and that she was initially hostile towards Koga because she didn't want to be tied down to anyone. Koga, for his part, admits that he understands Ayame's desire for freedom, but that he believes they are stronger together than apart.

In the end, Ayame agrees to join forces with Koga, and they set off together to try and track down Naraku and exact their revenge. Inuyasha and his friends continue on their own quest for the Shikon Jewel shards, but we get the sense that they will cross paths with Koga and Ayame again in the future.

Overall, episode two of Inuyasha season four is a thrilling installment that introduces us to some new characters and sets up some interesting conflicts and alliances for the rest of the season. The fight between Inuyasha and Koga is particularly exciting, and the dynamic between Koga and Ayame is intriguing. Fans of the show won't want to miss this episode.
