  • July 5, 2004

Innumerable Runaway Youkai Mice is the 32nd episode of the sixth season of the anime series, Inuyasha. The episode starts with the main characters Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango and Shippo, traveling in search of Naraku, the powerful half-demon who has caused them much trouble in the past. They are interrupted by a group of runaway Youkai mice, who are wreaking havoc wherever they go.

The group soon discovers that the mice are being chased by a group of hunters who are trying to capture them for their fur. The hunters are led by a woman named Ayumi, who is determined to capture the mice in order to make a fortune. Inuyasha and his friends are shocked by Ayumi's greed, and refuse to help her capture the mice.

The episode then takes a turn for the comical, as the group tries to catch the mischievous mice themselves. They are unsuccessful until Shippo comes up with a plan to lure the mice into a trap. Inuyasha and the others soon find themselves covered in flour and struggling to catch the mice, but their efforts are in vain as the mice continue to evade them.

Meanwhile, Ayumi and her hunters continue their pursuit of the mice, and are soon joined by a demon who has taken a liking to Ayumi's bounty. The demon is able to capture one of the mice, but Inuyasha and the others come to their rescue in a hilarious battle with the demon. Despite their efforts, however, the mice continue to elude them.

Eventually, the group learns that the mice are actually being controlled by a powerful Youkai named Mokey. Mokey has been using the mice to cause chaos in the area, hoping to lure Inuyasha and his friends into a trap. Inuyasha and the others confront Mokey in a final battle, which is both thrilling and humorous.

In the end, Inuyasha and his friends are able to defeat Mokey, and the mice are finally free to go on their way. Ayumi and her hunters are also put in their place, and the group is able to continue on their journey knowing that they have done the right thing. The episode ends on a lighthearted note, with Inuyasha and his friends joking and laughing together as they resume their travels.
