Ep 5. Spanking the Zombie

Liv, the zombie hero of our story, must deal with the fallout of her reckless behavior when she inadvertently turns one of the men caught up in her mission to find a missing teenage girl into a zombie. This is particularly bad timing for Liv, as she has already been tasked with solving the case of the missing girl as a detective for the Seattle PD.

Meanwhile, Major, Liv's ex-boyfriend and the leader of the team responsible for tracking down and euthanizing any zombies whose identities have been discovered, is struggling with the ethical ramifications of his job. He is especially shaken when he is tasked with taking down a beloved paramedic who has unknowingly become a zombie after being scratched on the job.

As the case of the missing girl unfolds, Liv and her friends learn that she was part of a group of girls who were sold to a wealthy clientele for sexual purposes. Liv must struggle with her own newly awakened trauma as a victim of sexual abuse as she works to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Meanwhile, Clive, Liv's partner on the case and a human cop, is dealing with his own heartbreak as he discovers that his girlfriend has been cheating on him with a wealthy art collector.

As the episode progresses, tensions rise as the various storylines intersect and the characters are forced to confront their own moral quandaries.
