Maya's father, Jack Gallo, is back in town and pays a surprise visit to his daughter's workplace along with his new girlfriend, Bianca. Jack is determined to make amends with his daughter but his presence creates quite a stir in the workplace. Maya tries her best to keep her emotions in check but ultimately succumbs to her father's charm offensive and agrees to a dinner with him and Bianca.
Meanwhile, Dennis decides to purchase a private jet for himself and his girlfriend, but struggles with the anxiety of being a responsible jet owner. Nina, on the other hand, is more than willing to take advantage of the new toy, and convinces Dennis to take her on a joy ride.
Elsewhere in the office, Elliot is struggling to find a way to implement a new marketing campaign for a feminine hygiene product. After a brainstorming session with Finch, they come up with an unconventional idea that proves to be successful.
As Maya dines with her father and Bianca, she is caught off guard by Jack's announcement that he plans to retire from Gallo Magazine and wants to pass on the company to Maya. Maya is both shocked and overwhelmed by the proposal, but ultimately decides to accept the offer.
