Ep 2. Steamed

In season 3 episode 2 of Just Shoot Me, titled "Steamed," Maya is dealing with stress from work and decides to treat herself to a day at a spa. However, everything that can go wrong does go wrong, as Maya becomes lost in the steam room and accidentally leaves her robe in a crowded area. Meanwhile, Finch tries to capitalize on Nina's love for animals by convincing her to adopt a monkey for the office. However, chaos ensues as the monkey wreaks havoc in the office.

As Maya struggles to navigate the maze-like spa, she meets a talkative stranger named Chuck who convinces her to try a new form of relaxation therapy involving a small room with flashing lights. Maya soon discovers that the therapy is not as relaxing as she initially thought, as she starts to hallucinate and becomes disoriented in the confined space. To make matters worse, Maya accidentally leaves her robe outside of the steam room and is forced to hide behind various objects as she tries to find her way back to the main area of the spa, all while trying to avoid being caught naked by strangers.

Meanwhile, Finch is determined to impress Nina with his idea to adopt a monkey for the office. However, things quickly spiral out of control as the monkey, whom they name "Marvin," proves to be more intelligent and mischievous than anyone had anticipated. Marvin steals Finch's stapler, types gibberish on Nina's computer, and even manages to escape from his cage and run amok in the office. The chaos caused by Marvin results in the destruction of office supplies, the loss of important paperwork, and Finch's eventual realization that maybe adopting a monkey was not the best idea after all.

Back at the spa, Maya finally manages to find her way out of the steam room and back to the main area, where she runs into Chuck once again. Chuck insists that Maya try out the sensory deprivation tank, but Maya is hesitant after her previous experience with the flashing lights. Eventually, Maya agrees and climbs into the tank, only to become stuck inside when the latch malfunctions. Stranded in complete darkness and isolation, Maya begins to panic, but eventually, the spa staff manages to free her from the tank.

In the end, Maya and Finch both return to the office, exhausted and defeated from their respective ordeals. While Nina continues to dote on Marvin, Finch is left to clean up the mess caused by the mischievous monkey and Maya reflects on her disastrous day at the spa. Nonetheless, the episode ends on a positive note as Maya learns to laugh at the absurdity of the situation and the gang at Blush continues to persevere through even the most chaotic of days.
