As civilization crumbles around them and hordes of bloodthirsty zombies known as Kabane terrorize the world, the survivors of humanity barricade themselves inside massive, fortress-like train stations known as Iron Fortresses. Among the survivors is a young engineer named Ikoma, who has developed a powerful weapon capable of killing Kabane and saving humanity from certain extinction.
In Episode 10 of Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, entitled "The Attacking Weak," tensions rise as the survivors of the Kotetsujyo (one of the Iron Fortresses) receive a distress signal from a nearby station. A group of brave warriors led by the skilled fighter Takumi are dispatched to investigate, but they quickly find themselves overwhelmed by an unexpected new type of Kabane.
Meanwhile, Ikoma and his friends Mumei and Yukina are at a loss as to how to help, as they are forbidden from leaving the safety of the Kotetsujyo. Ikoma is determined to find a way to help his friends, however, and begins to work on a plan to destroy the attacking Kabane.
As the battle rages on, both the Kabane and the survivors prove to be more resilient than anticipated. Ikoma's weapon, the piercing-gun, proves ineffective against the new strain of Kabane, and Takumi and his team are forced to retreat.
Just when all hope seems lost, Ikoma comes up with a new plan: using his piercing-gun to destroy a nearby bridge, he creates a wide moat around the Kotetsujyo, preventing the Kabane from crossing and giving the survivors time to regroup and push back the horde.
The episode ends on a bittersweet note, as Takumi and his team return to the Kotetsujyo, battered and bruised but still alive. The survivors are shaken but grateful, and Ikoma's bravery is praised by all.
Overall, "The Attacking Weak" is a tense, action-packed episode that showcases both the heroes' strengths and weaknesses. As the Kabane continue to evolve and adapt, it becomes clear that the survivors will have to work together and constantly adapt if they hope to survive in this terrifying new world.
