Astro Boy is a 2003 remake of one of the oldest Japanese cartoons in existence. Taking place in 2043, with robots commonly serving humanity. In Metro City, Doctor Tenma have vanished after attempting to create a robot with artificial intelligence. Professor Ochanomizu takes over for Tenma, finding a child-like robot and starting him up with the name of Astro. Astro soon discovers that he has rockets inside his body, supernatural strength, and a variety of other unnatural abilities. Astro quickly learns to ply his talents in combating robots and anti-machine humans, quickly rising as a hero in Metro City's eyes.
