Ep 2. Quest x Demon Beast Killer

In Kemono Michi: Rise Up season 1 episode 2 titled Quest x Demon Beast Killer, we follow the protagonist, Genzo, as he continues his quest to open up a pet shop. However, his path is not an easy one as he is constantly met with challenges along the way.

Genzo and his companions, a wolf-girl named Shigure, and a former wrestler turned adventurer, Hanako meet up with a village who is being terrorized by a demon beast. Upon hearing about the village's plight, Genzo decides to take on the task of slaying the beast.

He boldly marches into the demon beast's territory and engages it in a battle. With his skills as a wrestler, Genzo puts up a good fight but is eventually overpowered by the demon beast. However, he is able to get a good look at the beast and realizes that it's not a wild monster but in fact, a tame pet.

Genzo's compassionate heart takes over, and he decides to stop fighting the demon beast and search for a way to bring it back to its rightful owner. Hanako is not pleased with Genzo's decision and believes that it's a waste of time to return the beast to its owner.

The trio sets off on a journey to find the demon beast's owner, and along the way, they discover a couple of surprises. They find a mysterious ball that seems to have magical powers and a group of bandits who cause trouble for them.

Meanwhile, the people of the village begin to lose hope as they were counting on Genzo to save them from the demon beast. They decide to take matters into their own hands and confront the beast themselves.

As Genzo, Shigure, and Hanako near the demon beast's owner, they encounter a strange character named Carmilla, who seems to know more about Genzo than she lets on. She advises Genzo to claim fame as a beast killer to gain more popularity for his pet shop. But, Genzo's mind is set on delivering the demon beast back to its owner.

Ultimately, Genzo and his companions are able to find the demon beast's owner and return it to him. In a surprising turn of events, the demon beast's owner is not grateful to Genzo and instead accuses him of stealing the demon beast. Meanwhile, the village is still struggling to deal with the demon beast and are desperate to find someone to take care of it.

Kemono Michi: Rise Up season 1 episode 2 takes viewers on a thrilling adventure with Genzo, Shigure, and Hanako as they face new challenges and confront their own beliefs about what is right and wrong. The episode raises questions about loyalty, compassion, and the importance of doing what is right even in the face of adversity.
