After done, the kids are front and center facing three turned chairs were singing coaches will listen to their song. During the performance, the coaches can turn their chairs signaling they would like to work with the performing child. If more than one turns their chair; then the kid can pick between the coaches that like their performance. All of the chosen artists are then added to one of the three teams composed by the members of the judging panel. There is a maximum of eighteen members per team. Later, after the teams are completely assembled, these singing coaches will help and recommend the kids in choosing the right songs and use of their ability performing against the other coaches' teams. There are always some disappointments as some of the kids do not excite the judges enough to select them for their camp. As the show progresses; many of the contestant are eliminated from competition for lack of artistry or skill. Only the best advance, those with enough natural brilliance and character keep moving on. The coaches select the songs to fit the personality and showcase the predisposition the performing kids may have before and audience. Songs can vary from Pop, folkloric, Tex-Mex, to even classical.
