Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne Season 1 Episode 1 Welcome to Kamogawa!

Welcome to Kamogawa! is the first episode of the anime series, Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne. The episode introduces us to the main character, Madoka Kyouno, a high school student from Kamogawa City.

The episode begins with Madoka Kyouno running late for her first day of school after oversleeping. She is constantly reminded by her friend, Lan, that she cannot be late on the first day of school. She eventually makes it to school and meets up with Lan, where they literally bump into a tall girl named Muginami.

Madoka becomes curious about Muginami as Muginami introduces herself as a new transfer student. Madoka gets the feeling that Muginami is not telling everything about herself and becomes even more curious when she sees a mysterious flying object, which nobody seems to notice.

The next day, Madoka, Lan and Muginami meet their homeroom teacher, Sachi Nogami, who congratulates Muginami on her perfect score from the entrance exam. Their homeroom teacher assigns them to represent their class in the upcoming Jersey Club competition. Madoka becomes excited about the Jersey Club, but Muginami remarks that it sounds like a strange club.

Madoka explains that the Jersey Club is actually about flying, and she shows Muginami a plane that her grandfather had built. Inspired by Madoka’s enthusiasm, Muginami joins the Jersey Club. Later that day, while the girls are flying the plane, they are suddenly attacked by a giant robot.

Madoka, Lan, and Muginami quickly get into their own robots and attempt to fight off the giant monster. However, the three robots are easily overpowered by the monster, who seems to have some sort of energy field around it.

Just as the girls are about to be defeated, a mysterious girl named Asteria appears and destroys the monster, saving the girls. Asteria introduces herself as a member of the organization known as the Vox, a group that fights to protect Earth from invaders from the Rin-ne, a parallel universe.

Asteria explains that the giant robot was actually a machine sent by the Rin-ne, and that the girls were not actually meant to be caught up in the conflict. However, the Rin-ne have been attacking Earth more frequently as of late, and the Vox need as many pilots as they can find to defend the planet.

Asteria offers to train Madoka, Lan, and Muginami to become pilots of their own Vox units to help defend Earth. However, the girls are hesitant to accept, as they are simply high school students who have no experience with piloting giant robots.

Despite their doubts, the girls decide to accept Asteria’s offer, with Madoka taking the lead. The episode ends with the three girls being shown a giant Vox unit that Asteria had hidden beneath the surface of the ocean.

Welcome to Kamogawa! is a thrilling first episode that sets up the premise of the series. The series features a great mix of action and comedy, as Madoka and her friends navigate the challenges of fighting off alien threats while still trying to live regular high school lives. The episode introduces several intriguing characters, including the mysterious Asteria, and sets up several plot threads that will undoubtedly be explored in later episodes.
