- November 3, 2018
The episode 11.03.18 of Live PD season 3 takes viewers through an exciting night of live policing from various cities across the United States. As usual, the show starts with a brief recap of the previous episode before jumping into real-time situations. Hosts Dan Abrams, Tom Morris Jr., and Sgt. Sean 'Sticks' Larkin take turns introducing the law enforcement agencies and officers on duty for the night.
The first segment takes viewers to Bridgeport, Connecticut, where Officer Farrington is called to a domestic violence case. The officers arrive to find a young woman crying in her apartment and a man screaming at her from the balcony. The man refuses to cooperate, and soon, the situation escalates, leading to a takedown by the police. The man is arrested and taken away.
In another part of the city, Officer Baez is called to a disturbance involving a group of men arguing on the street. One of the suspects takes off running, leading to a foot chase that ends in a tense confrontation. But the situation takes an unusual turn when a bystander jumps in to explain that the suspect was only running because he had heard gunshots. The officers explore the scene before eventually realizing that the sound was actually from firecrackers.
Back in Richland County, South Carolina, deputies are called to a car accident on the highway. When they arrive, they find a vehicle flipped upside down and pinned against a fence. The driver is in serious condition and trapped inside. The officers work quickly to free the driver before the ambulance arrives.
Later in the night, cameras follow Deputy Hendrix and his K-9 partner Gieco as they respond to a burglary alarm at an abandoned church. As they search the building, the officers find signs of recent activity and quickly realize that someone is still inside. With Gieco leading the way, the deputies navigate the dark corridors of the church, eventually discovering the suspect and making an arrest.
The episode also features a few lighter moments, such as when Deputy Maples responds to a noise complaint from neighbors about a group of people playing music loudly in their backyard. The situation is quickly resolved when the suspects turn out to be a group of elderly ladies celebrating a birthday party.
Throughout the episode, viewers get a sense of the challenges and frustrations faced by law enforcement officers, as well as moments of bravery and compassion. The show provides a glimpse into the complex reality of policing in America, highlighting the risks and rewards of putting one's life on the line to protect and serve.
