In Lone Star Law season 6 episode 3, entitled "Trashed," viewers are taken on a ride-along with Texas Game Wardens as they work to enforce hunting and fishing laws and protect the state's natural resources.
The episode kicks off with Game Warden H.Q. being inundated with calls about a large number of dead fish floating in a local waterway. Game Wardens Cody Jones and Chris Wilson are called in to investigate and determine the cause of the fish kill. Using their expertise, they conclude that it appears to be a case of water pollution caused by a dumping incident. They immediately begin to search for any clues that might lead them to the culprit. They also collect water samples to send to the lab to confirm their suspicions.
Meanwhile, Game Warden Albert Flores is investigating a case of a man illegally fishing with a bow and arrow in a restricted area. After a confrontation between the two, Flores confiscates the man's equipment and issues him a citation. He also lets the fisherman know that poaching in Texas carries hefty fines and the possibility of jail time.
Game Warden Jennifer Provazek is on patrol at Lake Texoma when she comes across a group of fishermen who are found to be in violation of fishing laws. The fishermen were attempting to catch striped bass out of season and over their bag limit. Provazek politely educates them on fishing laws before giving them a fine for their violations.
Back to the fish kill case, Game Wardens Jones and Wilson discover a discarded can of paint thinner that they believe was dumped and caused the pollution. They are able to track down the owner of the paint thinner, who finally confesses to the illegal dumping. The wardens issue a citation to the owner for violating environmental laws and polluting the water.
Later on, Game Warden Flores receives a call from a woman who says she found a baby white-tailed deer that appears to have been abandoned. Flores goes out to the woman's property and quickly determines that the fawn was, in fact, not abandoned. He teaches the woman about how to react properly to wildlife they may come across, and the importance of not interfering with the natural course of nature.
The episode concludes with Game Warden Provazek being called to assist with a search and rescue of a missing boater on the Trinity River. After searching through the night, the boater is found and rescued by a Texas Parks and Wildlife Department helicopter.
