Looney Tunes Season 1936 Episode 24 Porky's Moving Day

  • September 12, 1936

Porky's Moving Day is an episode from the Looney Tunes series, which first aired on December 12, 1936. In the beginning, we see Porky Pig and his family moving to a new house. Porky is seen driving a truck filled with their furniture and household items. His wife and children are sitting beside him, excitedly chatting away about their new home.

As they reach the new house, they discover that it's not quite what they were expecting. It's a run-down, decrepit old place that looks like it's about to fall apart any moment. But Porky and his family are determined to make the best of it and start unloading their furniture.

However, things start to go wrong almost immediately. A clumsy moving man drops the piano on Porky's foot, causing him to hop around in pain. As they're trying to push the piano inside the house, it gets stuck in the doorway, and they have to resort to pushing it in from the other end.

Once they've managed to get the piano inside, they turn their attention to the bed, which is also proving to be a challenge. As they're trying to carry it upstairs, it falls apart, and they have to carry it up one piece at a time.

Meanwhile, a mischievous mouse who lives in the walls of the house is watching all the commotion and decides to have some fun. He starts moving things around, rearranging the furniture, and causing all sorts of mayhem. Porky and his family are completely unaware of the mouse's antics and think that they're just having a string of bad luck.

As the day wears on, Porky and his family are getting more and more tired and frustrated. They still have a lot of things to unpack, and the house seems to be falling apart around them. Just when they think things can't get any worse, a storm rolls in, and the wind starts blowing things around.

The storm causes havoc inside the house, and by the time it's over, the place is an absolute mess. Furniture is overturned, curtains are ripped, and everything is covered in dust and dirt. Porky and his family are at their wits' end and are ready to give up and go back to their old house.

But just when they're about to throw in the towel, the mouse who's been causing all the trouble shows himself. At first, Porky is angry and tries to catch the mouse, but when he sees how small and helpless it is, he has a change of heart. He decides to take the mouse in as a pet, and the two become fast friends.

With the mouse's help, Porky and his family are able to clean up the house and make it into a cozy home. In the end, they're all sitting together, happy and content, listening to Porky's daughter play the piano. It's a heartwarming end to a chaotic day, and everyone is grateful for the little mouse who turned out to be a true friend.
