Love Hina Season 1 Episode 7 First Date. Keitaro's True Feelings: Nowadays

Keitaro Urashima is a 20-year-old ronin who has failed to pass the Tokyo University entrance exams twice. In order to fulfill a childhood promise to a girl, he travels to the Hinata Inn, where he has been appointed the new manager. The residents of the inn are all beautiful young women and Keitaro is often caught up in awkward and embarrassing situations.

One of Keitaro's classmates, Haitani, with a cruel sense of humor, suggests that Keitaro and Naru participate in a "lovers' game" where they have to answer a series of pointed questions about each other. Keitaro's poor memory and embarrassing lack of knowledge about Naru's likes and dislikes is revealed and Naru becomes more and more annoyed with him.

Just when it seems like the date is a complete disaster, Keitaro accidentally lets it slip that he came to the Hinata Inn to find the girl who he made a childhood promise to. Naru is touched that Keitaro would go to such lengths for a promise he made as a child and begins to see him in a different light. The two of them end up sitting together on a rollercoaster and Keitaro finally musters up the courage to confess his feelings for Naru.

Love Hina season 1 episode 7 explores the theme of young love and the anxiety and nervousness that comes with it. Keitaro's struggles to express his true feelings for Naru are relatable to anyone who has been in a similar situation. The episode is full of humor and heart and is a great addition to the Love Hina series.
