Ep 2. Episode 2

When the first episode of Love In Chains introduced us to protagonist Katerina, we saw her dragged from her comfortable life in aristocratic Russia to a world of forced labor and cruel masters. After losing her parents and escaping to a new life as a seamstress, Katerina begins to navigate the treacherous waters of life as a woman in 19th century Ukraine.

In Episode 2, things continue to get even more complicated for Katerina as she grapples with the dangerous attentions of both her new boss, Ivan, and the man she believes could be her true love, Sergei. The episode begins with Katerina working hard at Ivan's shirt factory. Despite the backbreaking work, she briefly forgets her worries when she receives a secret note from Sergei.

As she reads the note, Katerina is suddenly pulled away from her escape when she is cruelly reminded of the reality of her situation. As Katerina struggles to find a way out of her dangerous position, she begins to unravel the secrets that lie at the heart of the factory. When she learns that Ivan is keeping a horrifying secret in the basement of the building, she realizes that her life could be at risk if she doesn't act quickly. With Vasilisa's help, Katerina begins to plot her escape - but it's unclear whether she will be able to make it out in time.
