Susan and Harvey have been living in their house for 25 years. With a growing family, they have outgrown their home and are looking for a change. Susan loves their neighborhood and wants to stay in their home, but Harvey is ready to move on. He wants a more modern and updated home with more space for their family to grow.

Hosts Jillian Harris and Todd Talbot are tasked with renovating and redesigning their current home to fit all of their needs and desires, while real estate agent Kenny Blumstein searches for a new home that meets their criteria.

Jillian's plan for the renovation involves opening up the main living area to create a more open-concept space. She also wants to redesign the kitchen with new appliances and add a new bathroom to the main floor. Additionally, Jillian plans to create a new master suite in the attic space that will provide more privacy for Susan and Harvey.

Meanwhile, Kenny takes the couple on a tour of several potential homes, all with larger square footage and modern updates. The first home they visit has a stunning view of the city, but lacks the space they need for their family. The second home has plenty of space, but the layout is not ideal for their family dynamic. The third home is a contender, but it lacks the curb appeal that Susan and Harvey are looking for.

As the renovation progresses, Jillian faces several setbacks including mold issues and foundation problems. Despite these challenges, Jillian is determined to create a beautiful and functional space for Susan and Harvey.

By the end of the episode, Susan and Harvey are faced with a tough decision to either love their newly renovated home or list it and move into one of the homes that Kenny has shown them. With both options having their pros and cons, the couple must weigh their options and make a decision that is right for their family.
