Love It or List It Vancouver Season 3 Episode 26 Vivian & Don

Vivian and Don have been living in their spacious West Vancouver home for 15 years, but they are now facing a dilemma. With their children grown and out of the house, they are finding it too big and empty for just the two of them and are considering downsizing to a smaller home. However, their home also holds sentimental value and they wonder if renovating and updating it might be a better option.

Enter Love It or List It Vancouver's dynamic duo, designer Jillian Harris and real estate expert Todd Talbot. Jillian is excited by the challenge of transforming the outdated and closed-off home into a bright and open space that will suit Vivian and Don's new lifestyle. She plans to create an open concept living area while updating the kitchen and adding more storage space. Meanwhile, Todd is determined to find a smaller home that will meet Vivian and Don's needs better and convince them to let go of their current home.

As the renovation begins, Jillian quickly realizes the scale of the project and encounters some unexpected setbacks. Along with fixing the structural issues of the house, Jillian must also navigate Vivian's attachment to certain sentimental pieces that are taking up valuable space in the home. As they progress, the renovation crew encounters an issue which is going to take a lot of money to fix. This does not leave Jillian with much space in the budget for furnishings.

Meanwhile, Todd sets out to show Vivian and Don a selection of smaller homes in the area that would fit their needs for their next phase of life. They soon discover that the smaller homes they are viewing often require significant updating and modernizing to make them the homes Vivian and Don are envisioning, whereas some homes have issues with their location and neighourhood.

As the renovation nears completion, Jillian and the crew run into some unexpected delays, pushing the project over budget and past the initial timeline. Despite the setbacks, Jillian is determined to deliver on her promise of a stunning new home for Vivian and Don. Meanwhile, Todd continues to try and convince Vivian and Don that downsizing is the better option for them.

In the end, Vivian and Don are faced with a tough decision of whether to love their newly renovated home or list it and start fresh in a smaller residence.
