Magic City Season 1 Episode 4 Atonement

As the sun sets on Miami Beach, Ike Evans (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan), the owner and manager of the luxurious Miramar Playa Hotel, is desperate to make amends for his past wrongdoings. In Magic City season 1 episode 4, titled Atonement, Ike is haunted by his actions and must find a way to set things right before it's too late.

The episode opens with Ike meeting with his lawyer, Ben Diamond (played by Danny Huston), and discussing a new venture that they hope will help them recoup some of the losses the hotel has suffered since the Cuban Revolution. As Ike tries to make things right with Strauss, he receives unexpected help from a former employee, Judi Silver (played by Elena Satine). Judi, who has her own motives for helping Ike, offers to broker a deal between him and Strauss. But when her plan backfires, Ike must find another way to repay Strauss before it's too late.

Elsewhere in Miami, Ike's nemesis, DA Jack Klein (played by Matt Ross), is determined to take down the powerful Evans family and has enlisted the help of local reporter Meg Bannock (played by Kelly Lynch) to dig up dirt on them. Meg, who has her own agenda, takes a meeting with Vera and uses it to try to further her own career.

As the episode draws to a close, Ike must face the consequences of his past actions and make a difficult choice about his future. With the Miramar Playa Hotel hanging in the balance, Ike must do whatever it takes to save his business and his family from ruin.
