Mama June: From Not to Hot season 4 episode 7 titled "Mama's Court Orders" picks up with Mama June's custody battle for her daughter, Alana (also known as Honey Boo Boo). As the ongoing custody battle continues, Mama June is forced to appear in court once again for violating her court-mandated drug test.
The episode starts with Mama June's family discussing the situation and questioning how she continues to get herself in trouble. Her daughters, Pumpkin and Alana, are particularly worried about the outcome of the court hearing. Meanwhile, Mama June seems unfazed and insists that she will be able to get through it.
Later on, we see Mama June's ex-boyfriend and Alana's father, Sugar Bear, in court for their custody hearing. Sugar Bear is accompanied by his wife and Mama June's arch-nemesis, Jennifer. Mama June is clearly upset by Jennifer's presence and begins to argue with her. However, she is quickly reminded by her lawyer to remain calm and focus on the matter at hand.
As the hearing continues, Mama June's drug counselor takes the stand to testify about her progress in her drug rehabilitation program. The counselor reveals that Mama June has been making progress but has recently had a setback. This news doesn't sit well with the judge and it seems like Mama June's chances of retaining custody of Alana are slipping away.
Mama June's lawyer then calls her to the stand to testify about her own progress in rehab. Mama June is honest about her struggles, but remains hopeful that she will be able to turn her life around. The judge then decides to give Mama June another chance by ordering her to complete an additional month of rehab and submit another clean drug test.
The episode ends with Mama June's family feeling relieved that Alana will be able to stay with them for now. However, there is still a long road ahead for Mama June as she continues to work on herself and rebuild her relationships with her family. The episode serves as a reminder of the consequences of addiction and the challenges of overcoming it.
