Jamie obsesses that Brenda doesn't find him interesting while she's dating Simon who Jamie thinks must be a colossal bore. Jamie and Sarah have a long-running argument about who's smarter and decide to take an intelligence test to settle it once and for all. After some second thoughts they take the test and discover they're both geniuses; later it's revealed that the test was designed for children K-6. Jamie decides to bug Brenda's apartment so he can find out what Brenda and Simon talk about when they're together. Jamie gives Brenda a plant that he's bugged, and chaos ensues when Brenda realizes he's been spying on her.
