Buckets of Blood! Opera That Stirs the Heart is the 17th episode of the first season of Michiko and Hatchin. The episode begins with Michiko and Hatchin walking in a park where they witness a group of kids playing. The children are excitedly singing a song about a famous opera singer, Maria, and the upcoming opera festival that is taking place in the town. Hatchin expresses her desire to attend the festival, but Michiko is not interested.
Michiko receives a call from a friend who wants her help with a job. The two decide to meet at a bar, where they find out that Michiko's friend works for the opera company and wants to steal the tickets for one of the shows. Michiko agrees to help but is unaware of the danger that awaits her.
The following day, the two women sneak into the opera house. Michiko's friend tips off the security guards, who pursue them. Michiko separates from her friend, and in the confusion, she accidentally enters the stage, where she is mistaken for the lead actress, Maria.
Baffled, Michiko is taken to the dressing room, where the real Maria is getting ready. The opera singer is suffering from a cold, and the show is about to start. The opera company director convinces Michiko to replace Maria, and the performance commences.
Hatchin, on the other hand, decides to attend the festival with the kids she met earlier. One of the kids, Rico, is the nephew of the man who created the opera that is being performed. Rico expresses his desire to watch the show, but the tickets are sold out. Hatchin promises to get him a seat and starts her search for a ticket.
Meanwhile, Michiko is struggling to keep up with the performance, but she manages to get through it. However, during the final act, the director alters the script, forcing Michiko to confront the masked men who are after her.
Hatchin meets a man who claims to have an extra ticket, but he turns out to be a scalper. Hatchin refuses to buy the ticket for an inflated price, but this leads to a confrontation. During the argument, Rico realizes that Hatchin is in trouble and goes to help her.
Just as the confrontation reaches its peak, Michiko bursts onto the stage, revealing her true identity and stopping the fight. The audience gives her a standing ovation, and Michiko manages to get away with Hatchin and Rico.
In the end, the episode concludes with the trio watching the opera from the outside of the opera house. They listen to the beautiful music and express their happiness for the experience they shared.
Overall, Buckets of Blood! Opera That Stirs the Heart is a heartwarming episode filled with action, drama, and music. It showcases the importance of friendship and the beauty of music. The plot is well-written, and the characters are relatable and endearing.
