Ep 9. Horrificator

Marinette is excited when her school announces that they are going to hold a film competition, but things take a turn for the worse when the class's horror movie idea gets rejected by their teacher. Instead, they are tasked with making a documentary about a kooky Parisian artist: Philippe Candeloro.

As they struggle to come up with an idea, Marinette realizes that they could use Candeloro's impressive collection of scary costumes and masks to make their own horror movie. However, when they start filming, their teacher tells them that their movie lacks intensity and they need to find a way to truly scare the audience.

At this point, Marinette and her classmates make the mistake of asking the infamous Chloé Bourgeois to join their production. Her demands for fame and stardom quickly drive a wedge between the team, and things get even worse when Chloé decides to use the costume of a monster known as The Horrificator, which is cursed. Soon enough, the monster starts attacking the team, and they must find a way to defeat it before anyone gets hurt.

Thankfully, Marinette is equipped with her Miraculous: the Ladybug earrings that transform her, and her crime-fighting partner, Cat Noir, is there to help her. Together, they try to figure out how to stop the Horrificator without getting themselves or their friends hurt.

With the help of Marinette and Cat Noir, the team comes up with a plan and ultimately defeats the monster, saving their school and themselves. And, as a bonus, they create a truly terrifying film that impresses their teacher and wins them the competition.
