Bonnie and Christy's catering business is a hit, and they are catering an event for a charity that is hosting a fundraiser to support Parkinson's disease research. However, things take a turn when Bonnie's irresponsible and immature ex-boyfriend, Adam, shows up to the event uninvited. Although Bonnie is angry at first, she starts to collect on the idea of getting back together with Adam after finding out that he's been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
Meanwhile, Christy is dealing with her own issues as she starts to feel like she's falling behind in her courses. After a talk with her professor, Christy realizes that she needs to put more effort into her school work and try to balance her responsibilities as a student, mother, and business owner.
But the biggest issue of the night comes when one of the event's guests starts to get sick after eating from the chocolate fountain. Panic sets in as people start to worry that there's a foodborne illness spreading. Christy and Bonnie find themselves in over their head as they struggle to figure out what's causing the illness and keep the event from turning into a complete disaster.
As they try to track down the source of the illness, Christy and Bonnie learn more about Parkinson's disease and the impact it can have on those who suffer from it. They realize that they want to do more than just cater events to raise funds. They want to become advocates for Parkinson's disease research and do everything they can to help those who suffer from this debilitating illness.
In the end, Christy and Bonnie manage to contain the situation and save the charity event from total disaster. But they both leave the event feeling like they've gained a greater understanding and appreciation for the challenges faced by those affected by Parkinson's disease.
