Monster Garage is a television show that is hosted by Jesse James for the Discovery Channel. Each episode is an hour in length and was imagined and created by Thom Beers. The series finale aired on June 12, 2006. A team of five people who have fabricating or mechanical expertise is assembled to change a vehicle into a "beast machine." On the show this usually meant making one vehicle that could transform into another such as a PT Cruiser that is modified into a wood chipper. Sometimes vehicles were changed in order to conceal non-vehicular functions. For example, a police car which was built by a group of cops, doubled as a donut store. Assemble teams which successfully finished their duty were honored with tool kits that are very high-priced. The host of the series is Jesse James says he is the great grandson of Jesse G who is a cousin of the Wild West outlaw, legendary Jesse James. He has both metal fabricating and mechanical expertise and is the creator, owner and head motorcycle contractor for West Coast Choppers.
