As the episode begins, Lute and his friends Cheval and Navirou are on a mission to collect some valuable materials from a nearby wyvern. However, as they approach the wyvern's lair, they are surprised to find that it is already occupied by another creature – the formidable Barroth.

Barroth is a powerful wyvern covered in thick, armored scales. His powerful jaws and enormous horns make him a formidable adversary, and he is known to be fiercely territorial. Lute and his friends soon realize that they are in over their heads, and must come up with a plan to defeat or escape from the creature before it's too late.

As they explore the wyvern's lair to find a way out, they encounter a group of hunters who have also come to collect materials from the area. One of the hunters, a skilled warrior named Lara, offers to help Lute and his friends fight the Barroth. But when their initial attacks prove ineffective against the powerful wyvern, Lara reveals a secret weapon – a set of explosive barrels that she has hidden in the lair.

At Lara's direction, Lute and his friends lure the Barroth into a trap, using themselves as bait to draw the creature closer to the barrels. Just as the wyvern charges towards them, Lara detonates the explosives, causing a massive explosion that sends the creature reeling.

Despite the setback, however, the Barroth is not defeated. Enraged by the attack and wounded by the explosion, it charges towards Lute and his friends once again. But just when it seems that all is lost, a new ally arrives on the scene – a powerful Rathalos, who swoops down from the sky to do battle with the Barroth.

Lute and his friends watch in awe as the two wyverns clash in a fierce battle. In the end, it is the Rathalos who emerges victorious, sending the Barroth fleeing from the lair in defeat.

As the episode draws to a close, Lute and his friends thank Lara for her help and set off on their next adventure, ready to face whatever challenges come their way.
