Ep 3. Chapter Three

The show Murder One follows the cases of high-profile criminal defense attorney, Theodore "Ted" Hoffman. In season 1 episode 3, titled "Chapter Three," Ted continues to defend the wealthy and complex Hollywood actor, Neil Avedon.

The episode opens with Neil's sister, Francesca Avedon, visiting Ted's office. Ted decides to investigate the story further, and he and his team interview Jessica's friends and acquaintances to try and find out more information.

At the same time, a new character is introduced, Richard Cross, a wealthy businessman who has connections to Neil Avedon's family. He meets with Neil's mother, Miriam Wambaugh, and suggests that she hire a private investigator to investigate the murder and to protect Neil. Miriam agrees to hire Richard's recommended investigator and to pay him a large sum of money.

As the investigation continues, Ted presents his theory of the murder to his team. He suggests that the killer was someone who knew Jessica well and who had access to her apartment. He believes that the killer was someone who was angry with Jessica and had a motive to kill her. Ted's team begins to investigate Jessica's ex-boyfriend, who had been seen leaving her apartment the night of the murder.

In the final scene of the episode, Neil's private investigator, Lawrence Mathers, presents Ted with a new theory about the murder. Lawrence suggests that Jessica's ex-boyfriend was not the killer but that someone else was in the apartment at the time of the murder. The episode ends with the implication that Lawrence knows more about the murder than he is letting on, and Ted is left to ponder his next move.

"Chapter Three" of Murder One is another gripping episode that keeps the audience on the edge of their seats. The new characters and the complexity of the murder investigation add depth to the show and give the viewer a glimpse into the world of high-profile criminal defense.
