Ep 14. Get Out

In the second season, the My Wife and Kids show follows the life of Michael Kyle, an African-American man living in a suburban neighborhood in Connecticut with his wife, Janet, and their three children, Junior, Claire, and Kady. However, things start to go south when Tony's father, Mr. Jeffers, starts interrogating Michael about his job and his income. Michael is insulted and humiliated, and it's clear that he doesn't fit in with Tony's upscale family.

After the dinner, Michael and Janet have a heart-to-heart about their differing opinions on Claire's dating life. Janet tells Michael that he needs to trust their daughter to make her own decisions, and that he needs to let go of his need to control everything. Michael eventually sees the error of his ways and apologizes to Claire and Tony for his behavior.
