The final birth shown in this episode is that of Tom and Hayley, who are expecting twins. Hayley has had a twin pregnancy before, so she knows what to expect, but Tom is a first-time dad and feeling a bit overwhelmed. In the delivery room, Hayley's labor progresses quickly and the medical team realizes that one of the babies is in distress. They decide to perform an episiotomy and use forceps to deliver the baby safely. Tom is impressed by the medical team's quick action and relieved to meet his healthy sons.
