Ep 9. 40 OZ of Furlough

Piper Chapman's life takes a sudden turn when she is granted a 48-hour furlough from the prison. She is thrilled to be able to spend some time with her fiancé Larry, who has written a story about her life in prison that is about to be published in the New York Times. However, as soon as Piper returns home, she realizes that things are not as she had imagined them to be.

Larry is preoccupied with his book tour and barely has time for her. Piper is also haunted by the memories of the past and the mistakes she has made. She tries to smoke some weed to calm her nerves, but ends up getting too high and making some poor decisions. Meanwhile, the other inmates at Litchfield are dealing with their own problems.

Taystee has to deal with the repercussions of Vee's cruel actions, which result in Poussey getting into a fight with her. Red learns a devastating truth about her store, and Morello's wedding plans fall apart. Back at home, Piper faces a major dilemma when she discovers that her brother has stolen some of Larry's manuscript and plans to sell it for money.
