Ep 8. Couple's Friends

In the eighth episode of season one of Outmatched, entitled "Couple's Friends," Mike and Kay struggle to find friends who they both enjoy spending time with. Mike is in a fantasy football league with a group of guys, but Kay finds their crude humor and beer-drinking antics unappealing. Meanwhile, Kay's book club consists of women who Mike finds overly pretentious and boring.

Eventually, the couple finds a potential solution: a couple they meet at their children's school who seem to share their interests and values. However, things quickly spiral out of control when Mike and Kay discover that the couple has some unusual habits and beliefs. Despite this, they try to make the friendship work, but their efforts only lead to awkward and uncomfortable situations.

Meanwhile, Brian and Nicole face their own challenges when they attempt to make money by creating a food delivery app. Their app, which promises to deliver fast food to customers via drone, is met with skepticism and ridicule from their classmates. Undeterred, they press on and manage to get a local restaurant to sign on as a partner. However, when the drones malfunction, Brian and Nicole are forced to improvise in order to save their business.

As usual, "Couple's Friends" is an amusing and heartfelt episode of Outmatched that touches on the ups and downs of friendship, family, and entrepreneurship. With its witty writing and charming cast, it's a must-watch for fans of the show.
